The emphasis is on evoking a sense of tranquility.<\/p>\n<p>Within the conceptual framework that gave rise to the building, we explored analogies with nature. In the interplay of forces between the jagged, tilted blocks that strain against one another, the horizontal is not horizontal, nor is the vertical \u2014 perhaps even gravity does not exist here. The architectural elements convey that everything here was created in a space outside the realm of normality, just as the Holocaust is incomprehensible within the history of humanity.<\/p>\n<p>The glass hall leading to the permanent exhibition is also constructed on tilted pillars. The inspiration comes from nature, from Tuscany, where a line of pine trees took on this shape as a result of the constant coastal storms. I see those who were murdered as symbols of the steadfast struggle for survival that has continued for thousands of years, and I would like to convey this through this work.<\/p>\n<p>The rooftop garden is also of symbolic significance, floating like a vision above the horrors and already seeking a connection with life.
