The Mensch International Foundation wishes to honor fond the memory of Elie Wiesel today which would have been his 90th Birthday.<\/p>\n

His loss is not only a personal loss to his wife and son but a profound loss to the world. It is especially a loss to all Holocaust survivors and their children.<\/p>\n

Elie Wiesel, prisoner no. H-7713, was the conscience of the world ever since he first put pen to paper as he described the personal trauma of a 15-year-old Holocaust survivor left without parents.<\/p>\n

In honoring him I honor my own father who survived Mauthausen but lost his parents and only two siblings in the gas chambers of Auschwitz.<\/p>\n

All educators about the horrors of the Holocaust are forever indebted to Elie Wiesel.<\/p>\n

The Mensch International Foundation is pleased to announce the bestowing of the Mensch Award posthumously to Elie Wiesel. The awarding shall take place in Jerusalem in 2019.<\/p>\n
