The economic difficulties of the transition quickly gave rise to insecurity. The conference will discuss the social role of the churches during the years of political transition.<br \/>\nWe aim to cover a wide time span from the second half of the 1980s to the 2000s; however, we do not intend to present and evaluate current political events or legislations. Our speakers will present the distinctive features of the perceptions of the churches\u2019 role, their scope of action, and their adaptability to modern political systems.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Date<\/strong><br \/>\n6-7 November, 2024.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Location<\/strong><br \/>\n1094 Budapest, 39.
