To be held on <strong>19-20 September 2025 in Budapest.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Yahad-In Unum<\/strong> (\u201cTogether in One\u201d in Hebrew and Latin) is a Paris-based non-profit organization established in 2004 by Father Patrick Desbois and dedicated to systematically identifying and documenting sites of those mass executions committed against the Jews and Roma in Eastern Europe. The organization has interviewed more than 8,000 non-Jewish eyewitnesses and identified over 3,100 mass killing sites across Eastern Europe during these field investigations. This unique collection includes eyewitness testimonies, archival translations, and forensic evidence gathered through meticulous investigative work. (https:\/\/www.yiu.ngo\/en)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Since 2017<\/strong>, the <strong>Budapest Holocaust Memorial Centre<\/strong> and <strong>Yahad-In Unum<\/strong> have jointly organised seminars for European teachers, focusing on a lesser-known chapter of Holocaust history\u2013the so-called \u2018Holocaust by Bullets\u2019. These seminars offer historical insights, educational materials, and workshops. The programme has been well received by both participants and organisers, underlining the importance of training educators on this often-overlooked aspect of history.<\/p>\n<p><strong>This year\u2019s<\/strong> 2-day seminar will welcome 20 teachers Hungary, Slovakia, Czechia, Poland, Austria, Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Montenegro, Albania, Kosovo, North Macedonia, Romania, Bulgaria and Germany.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The seminar<\/strong> will include additional presentations on the mass shootings of Hungarian Jews, with a special focus on the 1941 massacres in the Kamenets-Podolsky region of Ukraine.
