The Holocaust Memorial Center cordially invites you and your family to the
commemoration for the victims of the Pharrajimos

On August 2, International Roma Holocaust Remembrance Day, we remember the nearly three thousand Roma/Gypsy people murdered in Auschwitz-Birkenau on the night of August 2-3, 1944, and all the victims and persecuted of the Roma Holocaust. The commemoration is connected to the temporary exhibition “On the Path of Memory – Narratives and Imprints of the Roma Holocaust”. The cultural program evokes the memory of the Roma Holocaust through the works of art displayed in the exhibition.

ARTISTIC PROGRAM:
Performance by world-famous cimbalom artist Jenő Lisztes
Live painting by painter Barbara Bódi
Poetry compilation by the Independent Theater Hungary
Romano Glaszo troupe – excerpt from the dance ballad “The Girl Danced to Death”

Following the commemoration, guided tour with young volunteers of the UCCU Roma Informal Education Foundation.
