While touring the Holocaust Memorial Center’s permanent exhibition titled “From Deprivation of Rights to Genocide,” visitors learn about the events of the Holocaust through interactive activities.
During the guided tour, we present the Holocaust as a process. We place particular emphasis on the individuals involved in the story as human beings, and we examine the events from the perspectives of the victims, the perpetrators, the rescuers, and the silent bystanders. We highlight the everyday dilemmas faced by these individuals and the choices they made. We emphasize the question of the responsibility that comes with knowledge—that is, what we, who know this story, can do to ensure it never happens again.
