On December 3, 2012, Paul A. Shapiro, director of the Advanced Holocaust Studies at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum visited our institution. Few days earlier, Ms. Sarah A. Ogilvie, director of the National Institute for Holocaust Education of the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum paid a visit to the Holocaust Memorial Center. Both of the guests were briefed by director Prof. Dr. Szabolcs Szita and his deputy, Dr. János Botos, on the plans of the institution, on the programs scheduled for 2013 and on the ongoing educational and museological activities. During the meaningful and cordial discussion, areas of common interest and possibilities for future cooperation were also considered.
