As of 14 July 2020, the permanent exhibition of the Holocaust Memorial Center in Budapest, titled From Deprivation of Rights to Genocide is reopened for visitors.


In order to provide safe circumstances for our visitors, the following measures are taken:

1.       The maximum number of visitors in the area of the exhibition is 25 persons any given time;

2.       In order to control the number of visitors prior registration of the visit is requested;

3.       The prior registration has to take place at least 24 hours before the planned visit;

4.       Individual visitors should register by email at the jegypenztar@hdke.hu email address or by phone at +36 1 455 33 33. Groups of ten persons and more should register at oktatas@hdke.hu or phone number +36 1 455 33 24;

5.       At the registration, the planned timeslot of the visit has to be indicated. The available timeslots are 10-11 o’clock, 11-12 o’clock, 12-13 o’clock, 13-14 o’clock, 14-15 o’clock and 15-16 o’clock. The indicated timeslot is referring to the beginning of the visit; it doesn’t mean that the visit should be finished in that period. Visitors are encouraged to stay at the exhibition as long as they wish;

6.       During the entire period of the visit wearing of face masks or scarves covering nose and mouth is required;

7.       Visitors are kindly asked to disinfect their hands at the entrance;

8.       In order to reduce direct contacts, the wardrobe is not in function. We are sorry for the inconveniences caused by this;

9.       During the visit, visitors are kindly asked to keep the necessary distance from each other.

The exhibition space and other areas of the Center open to visitors are regularly disinfected by the staff of the Holocaust Memorial Center.

Purchasing tickets is possible with cash payment at the ticket office or online.
