THROUGH MEMORY NARRATIVES AND MEMOIRS OF THE ROMA HOLOCAUST
TEMPORARY EXHIBITION

For a long time, the memory of the Roma Holocaust remained on the margins of social and institutional memory. Not only was the processing of the trauma delayed, but the historical fact itself was long silenced and invisible, so that remembrance could only become public in a delayed and fragmented way.
Our new temporary exhibition focuses on this process of memory, based on the results of comprehensive anthropological research. Through personal stories, community memory practices, documents, objects, and contemporary visual reflections, the exhibition presents and visualizes the narratives and traces of the memory of the Roma Holocaust, showing how the past becomes a question of the present.
The exhibition guides visitors through a symbolic journey in an interactive format, encouraging active participation in the process of remembrance. With documentary authenticity and artistic tools, the exhibition invites dialogue about the past, the present, and the social responsibility of memory.
