Rabbi Abraham Cooper, associate dean of the Simon Wiesenthal Center’s H.Q. in Los Angeles visited the Holocaust Memorial Center in Budapest on March 5, 2013. Prof. György Haraszti, chairman of the board of the Holocaust Documentation Center and Memorial Collection Public Foundation, Prof. Szabolcs Szita, acting director of the Holocaust Memorial Center, and his deputy, János Botos have briefed the visitor on the ongoing research and educational activities of the institution.
The Simon Wiesenthal Center was established in 1977 as a global Jewish human rights organization that confronts anti-Semitism, hate and terrorism, promotes human rights and dignity, stands with Israel, defends the safety of Jews worldwide, and teaches the lessons of the Holocaust for future generations..
