A megélhetés kulcsát az Örökkévaló Bodrogkeresztúrban helyezte-e el?

A keresztúri rebbe a chászid történetekben és a neológ útleírásokban is a megélhetéshez kötődő ügyek égi közbenjárójaként jelent meg. A lizsenszki rebbe szellemi leszármazottjaként udvarában a hangsúlyt a vendéglátásra fektette. Egy-egy meláve demálká lakomára ökröt vágatott a sabboszkor nála tartózkodó vendégeknek. A chászidok úgy tartották, hogy a megélhetésre mondott áldás a keresztúri rebbe kezében van. A belzer ruf ilyen ügyekben Reb Sájeléhez küldte a híveket. Neki tulajdonítják azt a mondást, hogy a párnósze (megélhetés) kulcsa Keresztúrban van elhelyezve.

In both Chasidic stories and neologic travelogues, the Rebbe of Bodrogkeresztúr appeared as a heavenly intercessor for matters of livelihood. As the spiritual descendant of the Rebbe of Lizhensk he placed great emphasis on hospitality in his court. For a Melaveh deMalkah feast, he would slaughter oxen for the guests staying with him on the Shabbos. The Chassidim believed that the blessing of sustenance was in the hands of the Rebbe of the Bodrogkeresztúr. The Beltzer Ruf would send his congregants to Reb Shayele in such matters. To him is attributed the saying that the key to the Parnose (livelihood) is placed in Bodrogkeresztúr
